Kigezi region, in south western part of Uganda is also refered to as ” Switzerland of Africa “due to its hills and landscapes, with a fantastic scenary. Kigezi region is really unique by nature, its a paradise tourists center, a tourist habour.

Kigezi region is the only place you find the indigenous place who still belive in ” Iron smithing “, Forest people who still  and loves wild meat, forest roots , these people are called PYGMIES, the shortest people.
Lakes like, Lake Bunyonyi is one of the major tourists attractions in this regions and attracts averagely 1000 people within 1 week!! It has good Islands, land scape surrounding the lake, homestead around the lake, all make it perfect center for tourists.

Kigezi region, not only the center for tourists, it is also agate way to major cities of ;
  • Kigali  ( of Rwanda )
  • Bunjumbura ( Burundi )
  • Goma ( DRC Cong )
For business community travellers, this is the place to travel and enjoy the place. It is just 2 hours to Kigali, 4 hours to Goma and approximately 4hours to Bunjumbura, just depending on your speed of travel.
Un like places that faced with political instability in those years of 1960’s, Kigezi has never faced any political instability and this makes it superb place  for tourists. During  Rwanda Genocide, this town was accommodating refugees from Kigali/ Rwanda, and up to now, its un compareable to other cities.
Kigezi region is the only place where you can find forests of Bwindi Impenetrable anmd Mt. Mugahinga , all where you can track mountain Gorillas! Over 300 Mountain Gorillas are found in this parks.  So no regrets once you plan to come to Uganda.
